Course Description

Master Ambulatory Care Proficiencies via Electronic Health Records

This course will provide comprehensive ambulatory EHR training and explore its role in care across patient clinics and clinical practice management. We will explore the full spectrum of the ambulatory module, including clinical and practice management desktops that are needed to build and maintain efficient clinic management. Students will also engage with clinic and practice management desktops to gain a better understanding of the clinical and financial interdependency in clinic operations.

Learner Outcomes

  • Navigate ambulatory EHR desktops and their relationship to other clinical practice EHR desktops, which allow caregivers to access, track, document, review and monitor the patient encounter
  • Utilize ambulatory desktops to track clinical and financial interoperability, as they seamlessly work together for patient care coordination and enable timely and safe care
  • Access a customizable view of provider clinic and hospital schedules, where providers can edit schedules, add bookings and create daily schedules and workloads for efficient practice management
  • Proactively monitor groups of patients, registries, interactive worklists and physician office performance
