Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project-oriented activities to meet project requirements. In today's fast paced business environment, organizations are faced with competing aggressively with one another more than ever before. Because of this, the demand for operational effectiveness and efficiency is essential to organizational success.
This course leverages professionally recognized and accredited industry standards to introduce the foundational elements of project management. Students will be introduced to project management terminology, frameworks, domains of project performance, and principles of effective project management contained in the Project Management Institute's most recent edition of the PMBOK® Guide.
This course is optional (not required) for the Construction Project Management Certificate program. For the Project Management Certificate program, it can be taken individually to understand project management fundamentals.
