In this graduate credit course, participants will apply insights from 7 Mighty Moves: Research-Backed, Classroom-Tested Strategies to Ensure K–3 Reading Success to implement best practices in reading instruction within their classrooms.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of phonemic awareness and research-based strategies for teaching it
Learn how to teach phonics explicitly and systematically
Understand decoding strategies and how to effectively teach them to students
