Course Description
Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only
Collecting and analyzing data can help school counselors and their administrators identify achievement gaps, understand educational issues, and assess programs to ensure they are making a difference for all students. Participants will develop annual student outcome goals that identify the measurable impact the school counseling program will have on student achievement, attendance, and/or behavior. Annual student outcome goals are based on school data and focus attention on issues related to a gap in achievement, attendance, or behavior. School counselors play a critical role in ensuring access and equitable educational choices are provided to all students. School counselors need to be able to recognize prevailing barriers causing students to struggle. The use of data to demonstrate impact and accountably assumes a wide base of knowledge, skill, and application.
