In this course/workshop you will learn about the field of children's user research (with a focus on technology and media) and how you can leverage your background and experience working with children to a new space and industry. Students will gain a deeper understanding of children’s user research methods and how to best design desired research approaches. Real world case studies and examples from the children’s technology and media space will be shared.
Students will learn:
- In depth about various research methods
- How and why to pick a specific research method
- How to best approach answering a research question
- Strategies for successfully designing research for children
This workshop is great for people with experience working with children who are looking for a career change or just wanting to learn a new skill-set to enhance their current practice. Recommend completing the Introductory to Children’s User Research, Technology & Media prior to this course.
