Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only
Self-study is an educational experience to enhance your skills and knowledge in an area relevant to the field of communication sciences and disorders. You will participate in at least 12 hours of relevant asynchronous professional development and devote at least 3-5 hours engaging in activities that show reflection, understanding, and implementation of ideas, tools, and strategies.
These learning opportunities may also earn ASHA CEUs, but ASHA CEUs are not required for earning college credit. You will complete a professional learning log to: outline your learning outcomes, identify PD resources, track progress and create actionable SMART goals.
Learner Outcomes
- Increase understanding of SLP-specific subject matter
- Identify areas of specific importance to you as a DoDEA SLP
- Reflect on that knowledge and how you, as an SLP, can implement this information with your students, their parents, and your school
