Course Description
Credit Validation for Attendees of Medal of Honor Character Development Program Only
This course will provide teachers with the tools needed to implement the Medal of Honor Character Development Program in their classroom. The course offers a flexible, cross-curricular resource that is based on values embodied in the Medal of Honor. The lessons focus on how students can live lives of courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, citizenship and patriotism and influence change in their own communities. Attendees will examine lessons and discuss how to incorporate them in to existing curriculum.
Learner Outcomes
- Teachers will have examined and tried out curriculum materials that they may use in their classrooms
- Attendees will have an array of instructional strategies that will help students develop their character and practice such virtues as integrity, courage, commitment, and citizenship - teachers will have learned how to incorporate these in to the culture of their classroom
- Attendees will have tried a few lessons with their students and successfully complete the assignments for the course
