Credit Validation, Convenient Online Format

This course provides candidates with an understanding of how to become an effective teacher of adults. Strategies for teaching to a diverse group of adult learners will be provided including differentiated instruction techniques for special needs and English learners.

Learner Outcomes

  • Fulfill requirements for the Designated Subjects 3-year preliminary Adult Education credential
  • Develop an understanding of the andragogy and principles of teaching adults along with key concepts that inform teaching practices
  • Demonstrate strategies for teaching to a diverse group of adult learners
