Course Description
Strengthen Your Understanding of Teaching for Global Competence with Your Students
This course will build on the knowledge and skills educators gained in the previous course EDU-X774T, Global Education: Introduction to Global Competence. Educators will create meaningful learning opportunities by reading and analyzing examples to support students to understand global issues, implicit bias, diverse perspectives, and global citizenship. Educators will design unique, reflective learning experiences to meet the needs of their students and support mastery of content standards.

- Analyze strategies to introduce students to global competence
- Identify strategies to integrate global issues and diverse perspectives so that students understand their role as global citizens
- Incorporate knowledge, skills, and competencies into unit and lesson plans to support unique needs of students
- Create meaningful and relevant learning opportunities to inspire student action specific to subject matter area, teaching context, or education environment
