Course Description

Credit Validation for Museum of Tolerance Workshop Participants Only

Presented in partnership with Facing History and Ourselves, this 2-day institute invites participants to explore the voices of young people during the Holocaust. It will examine what factors contributed to their identity, what choices they made, and what students today can learn by studying the Holocaust to better understand ordinary people and human behavior.

Learner Outcomes

Deeper understanding of the Holocaust and the specific impact and voice of adolescents during that time
Meet and hear a Holocaust survivor through unique exhibits at the Museum of Tolerance
Gather new insights, tools and valuable classroom resources to assist in teaching about the Holocaust

Course Details

Number of Units: 1.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for Pre K-12 educators, Teacher Candidates, Administrators, Specialists and Classified Staff. Course credit may be used for salary advancement and/or professional development. Please contact your district/school for prior approval.

Grading: Pass/Fail grades will be issued upon successful completion of program.
