Course Description

Re-experience the Beauty and Power of Language to Pass on to Your Students

Love of Language – J. R. R. Tolkien and Fantasy Literature is designed to rekindle an appreciation for works of J. R. R. Tolkien, including The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King, The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales, as well as other works and authors within the genre of fantasy literature. In this course you will be guided by an audio course, published by the Recorded Book’s Modern Scholar, in a journey that begins by studying and reflecting on the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and the fantasy genre and concludes with an independent writing, research or curriculum project.

  • Examine and reflect upon a myriad of texts and language related topics with an emphasis on J.R.R. Tolkien and Fantasy Literature
