Course Description
Lead the Way at Your School with Character Education Success
The purpose of this course is to provide educators with the knowledge and skills needed to take on both a leadership and a collaborative role in character education programs and initiatives in their communities, schools, and classrooms. Through analysis and discussion of research, best practices, case studies, the writings of others, and current events, participants will be able to decide how best to be a character education leader, model, and collaborator.

- Determine who, what, when, why, and how to create character education content and principles
- Develop a collaborative and leadership-driven role for character development at your school, district, and/or community
Course Details
Number of Units: 2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for K-12 teachers, including pre-service, beginning, and experienced, and administrators interested in providing leadership and collaborative efforts for character education development in the classroom, school, district and/or community.
Course Materials: There are no book requirements for this course. All materials are embedded within the online course.
