Credit Validation for Teacher Induction Credential Candidates Only
The Teacher Induction Program is a two year, California state-approved system that includes the individualized assistance of a Mentor on a regular basis. The Mentor helps with the collection of evidence and data that reflects the California Standards for the teaching profession and state adopted academic standards over time. The Teacher Induction Program promotes reflection and formative assessment about teaching skills and practices allowing credential candidates to experience rich quality embedded professional development.

- Learning and practicing effective teaching strategies in a classroom environment
- Using a Mentor to guide beginning teachers in reflection on what works for replication and how it could work better in a given context
- Utilizing formative assessment over time to improve the performance of credential candidate
Number of Units: Units provided are graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours. The unit values vary by district. Check your district's section for the unit value offered.
Who Should Attend: Beginning teachers enrolled in induction programs with their district and/or consortium.
