Develop Your Vision and Skills to Successfully Reach Your Goals as a Teacher Leader

Participants will explore Pedagogy and Content related to High-Leverage leadership strategies, specifically those that support day-to-day best practices. Current teachers will seek additional opportunities for growth and leadership. Candidates may be currently serving in a leadership role, looking to hone their practice, or looking to excel into leadership in the coming years.

Learner Outcomes

  • Design a vision, mission, or goal statement
  • Develop skills to support efficiency and accuracy in day-to-day leadership/administrative tasks
  • Practice difficult conversation scenarios and work through them using a conversational toolkit
  • Examine the key components needed to plan and launch a successful educational initiative
  • Build a digital portfolio to showcase your work as an educational leader

Number of Units: 3.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Successful completion of EDU-X782R Discovering Your Leadership Potential is required.

This course requires participants to be able to self-advocate to acquire new technology skills such as Google apps, extensions and Digital portfolio tools.
