Boost Your Health and PE Teaching Using Today's Technology

This course provides health and physical education teachers with the knowledge and resources they need to incorporate technology into their programs. Infusing technology in health and physical education can help educators increase student engagement, enhance their instructional practices, and assess student learning. In this digital age, it is important to use technology tools, applications, and resources that are widely available to improve the learning experience for 21st Century learners.

Learner Outcomes

  • Explain the benefits of incorporating technology into one’s health and physical education curriculum
  • Identify technology tools, applications, and resources for health and physical education that can be used to engage learners, enhance instruction, and assess learning
  • Create technology-based lesson plans for health and physical education
  • Design technology-based assignments and assessments for health and physical education
  • Utilize Google Classroom to create working health and physical education classes

Number of Units: 2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for those that teach or will teach health and/or physical education in the K-12 setting.
