Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only
This course is designed for professional learning participants to understand the key components of assessing students in the health office. School nurses will engage in best practices for nursing assessments, including standardized vision and hearing screenings, and implement DoDEA regulation 2720.1, "First Aid and Emergency Care." Nurses will learn to provide basic first aid, identify common emergencies, and respond appropriately. The course also covers child abuse prevention, personal safety education, and awareness of common chemicals and substances in schools.
Designed for DoDEA School Nurses, this virtual course on Schoology includes CCR module training developed by Headquarters. Participants are required to attend all classes, collaborate with peers, and submit completed projects. A final project will align with the semester's learning objectives.
