Credit Validation for UC Berkeley History-Social Science Project Participants Only
UC History-Social Science Project will engage students in exploring to reframe the Modern World History curriculum (10th grade) to center climate change and the history of colonialism.
Learner Outcomes
- Locate places in curriculum in which counter narratives can be introduced to challenge a Eurocentric understanding of history
- Articulate a narrative that the course centers and how it extends the traditional narrative
- Center the contemporary issue of climate change as a throughline of the course
- Connect historical and contemporary events and issues to the evolving forms of colonialism

Number of Units: 2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for Credited participants should be in-service 10th grade educators. Pre-service teachers are also eligible.
