Course Description

Credit Validation for San Bernardino County Participants Only

This training is designed for elementary teachers who would like to learn how to incorporate the secondary “AVID-like tutorials” into their elementary classrooms to assist students in accessing rigorous content. Participants will be able to observe CSGs in action.

Learner Outcomes

Learn the structures of Collaborative Study Groups to enable them to implement the strategy within their content classes with fidelity
Learn the foundations of AVID Curriculum WICOR to be able to blend AVID Strategies within their content class curriculum

Number of Units: 0.5 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for elementary teachers who want to bring the CSG strategy into their classes.
