Course Description
Credit Validation for DoDEA Educators Only
The purposes of the DoDEA Pacific Assistant Principals Academy are to 1.) build leadership capacity for success with the key roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Principal and 2.) build a well-developed DODEA leadership/management Principal pipeline where candidates will be successful in those roles at least three years later.
Course Responsibilities:
- Attend and fully participate in designated professional learning sessions (PL)
- Read, reflect, and comment on readings provided by the instructor
- Contribute to sessions by participating in all activities & discussions
- Participant must complete all assigned readings and submit course assignments, including discussion posts and final culminating paper
Learner Outcomes
- Build leadership capacity for success with the key roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Principal
- Support a Principal pathway where instructional leaders will be successful in ongoing leadership roles within the agency at least three years later
