Explore the Elements of Project Management and Its Practices
Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project-oriented activities to meet project requirements. In today's fast paced business environment, now more than ever, organizations are faced with competing aggressively with one another, and so the demand for operational effectiveness and efficiency becomes essential to organizational success. This course leverages professionally recognized and accredited industry standards to introduce the foundational elements of project management. Students will be introduced to project management terminology and frameworks, domains of project performance, and principles of effective project management contained in the Project Management Institute's most recent edition of the "PMBOK® Guide."
This course is required for the Construction Project Management Certificate program, optional (not required) for the Project Management Certificate program, or can be taken individually to understand Project Management fundamentals.
