Course Description
Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only
This course will require LIMS and PSCD teachers to explore educational tools that support students with autism from PK–12th grade, including the STAR Program. The STAR Program is a comprehensive behavioral educational program available in the DoDEA Mid-Atlantic District. It supports assessment and educational programming in areas such as expressive language, receptive language, pre-academics, functional routines, and play and social skills for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays.
Learner Outcomes
- Expand knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and comprehensive behavioral educational programming to support learners with ASD
- Complete self-paced exploration of tools, application of the program, and coaching sessions with the district ISS
