Course Description

Credit Validation for NEA Participants Only

Educators will be able to define and describe implicit and explicit bias and identify how bias influences decisions, actions, and behaviors related to students and families. They will also identify specific actions they can take to disrupt bias in their classrooms, schools, and districts. Additionally, educators will explore their personal biases and create an infographic and presentation illustrating various types of bias in education, the impact these biases have on students, and strategies to disrupt bias in classrooms, schools, and districts.

Number of Units: 1.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for NEA Participants.

Directions to Enrolled Participants for University Credit: Submit your Certificate of Completion by email to pce-cv@sandiego.edu after enrolling for credit and completing the course. Only register for credit once you have completed your coursework. Ensure your program knows you have registered for credit and communicate that they can release your final grade to our program.

Refund Policy: All Credit Validation enrollments are refundable, less a $25 fee, if requested within 30 days of enrollment date. There will be no refunds for Credit Validation after the allotted 30 days.
