Recognize the Advantages of a Learner-Centered Environment
Creating a Learner-Centered Environment- Research has supported the shift from a teacher-centered classroom to a learner-centered classroom. Learner-centered classrooms change the focus to students' needs and are adaptable to the students that they serve. Having a strong understanding of the components that make up learner-centered learning will help students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.Final submission for all assignments are due on or before March 9, 2025. Transcripts will be issued no sooner than 7 days AFTER this date.

- Understand different elements by creating a learner-centered environment
- Recognize the advantages of creating an explicit learner-centered environment
- Analyze their classroom or school setting to determine what shifts need to occur to create a learner-center environment
- Apply the key elements and strategies of learner-centered environments in an implementation plan

Course Format: Online Self-Paced, within set dates*. Class starts on Monday, January 6, 2025 and should be completed on or before Sunday, March 9, 2025. *Online Self-Paced courses are a perfect blend of accessibility, convenience and flexibility for you to control your learning pace, please note that this Online Self-Paced course does have a specific start and end dates. Your instructor will provide feedback via written responses on your submissions and final project. Grades are based on assignments and completed projects. Please pace yourself to allow for instructor responses in between each assignment. Course completion date will reflect March 9, 2025 on your transcript for all participants that successfully meet the completed course work deadline.
