Course Description
Credit Validation for CA Global Education Project Participants Only
TK-12 teachers selected to participate in the California-Taiwan Connection Summer Study program will travel from California to Taiwan and participate in all-day professional learning experiences with their partner teachers in Taiwan. The program will consist of global education workshops focused on global competence with UN Sustainable Development Goals, partner teacher instructional planning and demonstration teaching with students, Model United Nations experiences, and cultural studies. Teachers will develop plans for implementation during the coming academic year.
Learner Outcomes
- Deepen your understanding of global competence for integration into instructional practices
- Experience and utilize cross-cultural exchange strategies
- Develop instructional plans with partner teachers for global education lessons in the new academic year
Course Details
Number of Units: 3.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for TK-12 Teachers participating in the California-Taiwan Connection Classroom Exchange program.
