Course Description

Credit Validation for San Bernardino County Participants Only

This training is designed for elementary teachers who would like to learn how to incorporate the secondary “AVID-like tutorials” into their elementary classrooms to assist students in accessing rigorous content. Participants will be able to observe CSGs in action.

Learner Outcomes

  • Learn the structures of Collaborative Study Groups to enable them to implement the strategy within their content classes with fidelity
  • Learn the foundations of AVID Curriculum WICOR to be able to blend AVID Strategies within their content class curriculum

Number of Units: 0.5 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for elementary teachers who want to bring the CSG strategy into their classes.
