Teaching for Joy and Equity in the K-12 Classroom - EDU-X714S
Course Description
Bring Equitable Practices and Joy to Your Classroom
This course is intended for K-12 educators who want to foster both joy and equity in their teaching context. Educators will engage with current media on equity and anti-racism while gaining new resources with direct application to the teaching practice. Educators will also examine ways to humanize the learning environment where students and the teacher are in a learning partnership. Working closely with your instructor, educators will self assess and interrogate text by major leaders in the field of anti-racism in order to plan for a classroom culture that honors student identity.
