Strengthen Your Instructional Design Skills to Improve Learning Results
Introduction to Instructional Design for Educators aims to provide a foundation of instructional design practices and processes for new or veteran teachers. While many educators are familiar with the concept of “Backwards Design,” this course delves deeper into how to design strategically and target learning transfer and long-term understanding. The purpose of this course is to empower a variety of teachers and administrators with the design tools and strategies they need to maximize student achievement and engagement. This course is universally applicable to traditional and online course design.

Number of Units: 2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for teachers (Grade K-14) interested in strengthening their instructional design skills for classroom and/or online teaching. Beginning and veteran teachers, public and independent school teachers teachers, grade level and subject area teachers, and administrators who would like to use these practices to guide professional development opportunities will benefit.
