Course Description
Research and Design Curriculum to Promote a Social Changemaking Mindset
Learn how Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second woman to ever hold the position of Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, spent a large part of her legal career as an advocate for gender equality and women's rights, winning multiple victories arguing before the Supreme Court. Use your research to create engaging, dynamic and standard-based lessons and presentations for use in the classroom. At the same time, influence and inform your students of their own abilities to become changemakers in their own right.
Learner Outcomes
- Research resources related to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, for use in creating a lesson plan for use in your classroom
- Develop a presentation from your findings for use with your lesson plan
- Create grade level appropriate learning outcomes and assessments for your lesson plan
- Develop a grade level appropriate lesson plan, utilizing all elements from the course, for use in your own classroom

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for both elementary and secondary level teachers that want to explore the life and legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and want to integrate their learning into curriculum, as well as providing changemaking inspiration with students.
Required Materials: No materials are required, however you will be required to do research on the subject matter and may access resources on the Internet, your local or school library, or your local bookstore.
