LACOE partners with the University of San Diego (USD) to provide these "Credit Validation" courses, which are graduate-level extension credits required to move from a Preliminary to a Clear credential. Teacher candidates must be accepted into the LACOE Designated Subjects Credential Program in order to enroll in the courses. Please reach out to LACOE if you have interest in aplying to the LACOE Designated Subjects Credential Program before enrolling into these courses or if you have any questions, by calling 562-922-6798.

Enrollment Information

IMPORTANT – MUST READ - If you would like to know when enrollment opens, click the “+” icon below, and review each section individually. Each section will display the date and time it becomes available. We recommend adding this information to your calendar.

Please also note the meaning of the course options:

  • "Add to Cart" means you can now purchase units.
  • "Request Information" means the course has not yet opened for enrollment or is currently full, including the waitlist (please check the listed dates). You will need to wait for the next available section.
  • "Add to Waitlist" means your name will be added to the waitlist. If anyone drops the course, the first waitlisted person will be emailed with details on how to register for the course. This invitation will be valid for 48 hours. If the student does not register, the waitlist will open to the next person in line. Waitlist placement does not guarantee enrollment - registering early is recommended to secure a seat.

Quick tip: These courses fill quickly. Be ready at 12:00 PM/Noon to purchase your units as soon as enrollment opens to improve your chances of securing a spot.
