Learn techniques to write better research papers
Attending a Master's (MA/MS) or Doctorate (PhD) program in the U.S. requires a particular set of writing skills which go beyond a basic five-paragraph essay. This online course will provide international scholars with the knowledge and specific tools necessary to improve their English academic writing skills, as well as successfully navigate the process of creating a research paper.
Who Should Attend
The intended audience are any/all Advanced-level non-native English-speaking students who wish to prepare for the rigors of writing research papers in a graduate-level academic program in the U.S. Primarily (although not exclusively), these individuals are located overseas.
This course is offered in an asynchronous, online format.
This course is offered to you as a fully online, self-paced and self-directed learning experience.
Communicating through writing and being able to present one’s research are required skills at the graduate level, whatever the discipline. This course provides the background and practice graduate students need to become successful academic writers.
USD faculty, experienced in online teaching techniques, provide a stimulating online learning environment. All instructors hold a Master's degree or higher.
