Learning about the academic environment in the U.S. can give a prospective international student a significant advantage in quickly adjusting to life on campus, as well as helping improve important study and time management skills needed to be a successful student.
Who Should Attend
International (non-native English-speaking) students pursuing – or wishing to pursue – a Bachelor’s degree in the U.S. International students can be recent and/or incoming, or current undergraduate freshmen.
This course is offered in an asynchronous, online format.
This course is offered to you as a fully online, self-paced and self-directed learning experience.
This online course will focus on helping non-native English-speaking international students pursuing a Bachelor's degree navigate the social, cultural, and academic challenges related to US universities. Students will learn and apply concepts, theories, and skills to better become contributing members of a university classroom and community.
USD faculty, experienced in online teaching techniques, provide a stimulating online learning environment. All instructors hold a Master's degree or higher.
